This ghost won’t scare you!,
I bought this dock for our son’s birthday so that he could charge his iPod and use it as an alarm clock. The sound is surprisingly rounded and pleasant for something that essentially looks like a toy, but then that is why the iGhost is so appealing to children. I’m glad of that really, because our son doesn’t like to be fobbed off with second rate gear just because he is a child! It charges the iPod well and has a cute little remote control. The only downside is that you don’t know how loud the sound is going to come out as there is no volume indicator. The volume is raised and lowered by remote or by touching the sides of the iGhost so there is no physical indication of the volume level. We find this to be a problem when we are setting his alarm as there appears to be a default volume when you dock the iPod and this is too loud for the alarm. You therefore have to guess how many times to touch the side of the iGhost in order to reduce the volume or just play it and risk waking up a sleeping child! Not a fatal flaw, but this is the reason why we can’t give it 5 stars.

Surprisingly good audio quality from such a small product!,
My partner and I decided to get the iGhost as we wanted a docking station that would utilise both my Ipod Nano(V4) and Her Iphone(3G). My ipod fits in the top of the Dock using the same connection as the firewire that apple supplies with both Iphones and Ipods. the iGhost comes with various adaptors to fit different ipods that are also compatatble. The sound quality emmited for the iGhost is brilliant (considering that it’s only the size of a melon!)the subwoofer on the bottom of the prouduct gives great depth of sound and easily fills a room 36′x36′the the bass and treble values can be altered by use of the remote.
However the only issue we have with this product is the compatabliilty with the Iphone, unlike the Ipod the Iphone does NOT work in the same docking portion on the top . the way that the Iphone works is by using the same 3.5mm jack that you use for headphones with a cable that is supplied. the phone then with the use of this wire uses the iGhost basically as a speaker as the provided romote does not work the Iphone itself.
All in all a great product, the iphone compatibility is irritable and the only issue we have.

power problems,
had alot of problems with the plug not working due to the product using a european power supply and adapter which kept blowing fuses whenever i pulled it out the socket,have now bought a new adapter and seems to be working at the minuate as long as you turn everything off before disconnecting,apart from not using an english plug i am enjoying the product and it produces a good sound and works with both my ipod nano and my husbands larger ipod and is very cute
